Metrology Engineer Role

Technimark LLC is a leading manufacturer of custom rigid plastics solutions, working with top companies across various industries. We're seeking a skilled Metrology Engineer to join our team of experts, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measurement and Calibration: Write CMM and Vision System Programs to enhance measurement accuracy and efficiency.
  • Custom Design: Create specialized gauges and fixturing tailored to our production needs.
  • Tool Calibration: Assist in calibrating tools to ensure traceability to national standards.
  • Reverse Engineering: Collaborate with the Engineering Department to reverse engineer components, enhancing our design processes.
  • Gage R&R Studies: Conduct Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility Studies on new variable gauging and CMM/Vision Programs.
  • First Article Inspection: Perform dimensional First Article Inspections of new products, meticulously documenting results.
  • Capability Studies: Execute Capability Studies of critical dimensions for analysis by Quality Engineering.
  • Physical Testing: Conduct physical testing of products and report detailed findings.
  • Dimensional Inspections: Perform various dimensional inspections to support Tooling and Design Engineers.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: High school diploma/GED required; a two-year degree preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of injection molding and manufacturing operations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Technical Proficiency: Computer skills including usage of OGP Zone3 and PC-DMIS software or similar product, and advanced blueprint reading abilities.
  • Measurement Techniques: In-depth knowledge of advanced measuring techniques to ensure precision.
