Job Summary

L&T Technology Services is seeking a highly skilled MEMS Metrology Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laser systems and laboratory safety protocols, with experience operating automated test systems for electrical or optical hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain MEMS test and metrology capabilities for the team
  • Coordinate test results and feedback on device performance to improve MEMS design
  • Assemble, operate, repair, and debug electro-optical automated test systems
  • Perform visual inspection and detection of unexpected device under test (DUT) behavior
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lab
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or related field
  • 3yrs experience operating automated test systems for electrical or optical hardware
  • Novice/Intermediate proficiency using python, LabView, or MATLAB for instrument control
  • Desire to work in a laboratory environment, collecting data and running experiments
  • Has personally built an automated physics or manufacturing test system within the last 5 years
  • Proven experience working in a laser lab environment
  • In-depth knowledge of laser safety protocols and regulations
  • Familiarity with laser systems, optics, and related equipment
  • Familiarity with benchtop electrical test equipment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic understanding of data analysis and statistical methods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with laboratory maintenance
  • Ability to work on-site in Redmond, WA 100% of the time.
