Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Area Manager.

Key Responsibilities

As an Electric Motor Assembly Technician, your duties will include:
• Assembling electric motors while ensuring operational efficiency, adherence to quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interpreting technical diagrams and verifying components for motor assembly.
• Utilizing basic computer skills and learning to navigate the Shop Floor Display system.
• Understanding flex flow and day and rank systems, along with comprehending all written assembly instructions.
• Employing various hand tools, pneumatic tools, and torque wrenches as required.
• Utilizing different gauges and indicators to ensure precision.
• Delivering defect-free assembly of components to meet production targets.
• Collaborating with fellow operators and supervisors to address any equipment or component issues.
• Identifying and requisitioning necessary supplies, parts, and tools.
• Demonstrating strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills to achieve site objectives.
• Participating in cross-training for various production tasks.
• Prioritizing workplace safety and adhering to safety protocols while reporting any safety concerns.
• Maintaining cleanliness in the work area.
• Working overtime as required.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Physical capability to perform repetitive motions including pushing, reaching, pulling, and lifting components weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hand and power tools, with the ability to handle various sizes of components.
  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 30 to 75 lbs., with hoisting equipment available.
  • Familiarity with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, including eye protection.
  • Consistent use of fine motor skills for assembly and finishing tasks.
  • Availability to work a standard 40-hour week with potential overtime.
  • Ability to think independently while effectively collaborating within a team environment.
  • Experience using air manipulators for lifting tasks.
  • Capability to work in a manufacturing setting.
  • Comfortable standing on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
  • Exposure to various materials such as sealants and greases.
  • Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
