Job Summary:

At HSM Solutions, we are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks necessary to weld powder coated metal products. This includes welding bus seat units in fixtures, jigs, or other positioning devices, as well as welding sub-assembly components of bus seat units, such as tubes and hinges.

Responsibilities:

Weld bus seat units in fixtures, jigs, or other positioning devices.
Weld sub-assembly components of bus seat units, such as tubes and hinges.
Stock components as necessary for daily activities.
Repair or replace MIG welder components, such as welding lead, regulators, diffusers, and welding tips.
Replace wire stump as needed.
Measure and record quality information.
Report and correct quality issues as assigned by Supervisor or Lead.
Actively participate in housekeeping requirements for the department.
Operate robotic welders to include basic troubleshooting and programming.
Perform part quality inspections using appropriate measuring device and gages.
Track and record downtime of weld cell during production run.
Read Blueprint.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job.
Formal education is not required.
Minimum of 6 months of previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred, but not required for consideration.
Read blueprint and caliper are preferred.
MIG welder. There is not minimum time requirement and experience may be from any environment.
Must pass manual welding test.
