Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Winder to contribute to our operations. This role involves the meticulous rewinding of diverse electromechanical equipment, which includes the removal of existing windings, assessing for damage, documenting original winding data, fabricating new coils, and conducting voltage tests on standard windings.
  • Rewind a variety of electromechanical devices
  • Dismantle and/or strip non-functional or damaged electromechanical equipment
  • Inspect equipment for winding defects and signs of electrical issues
  • Document all pertinent data regarding the unit's electromagnetic properties and operational conditions
  • Prepare reusable components for rewinding and evaluate renewed parts for hidden damage
  • Safely strip stators or apparatus without compromising core integrity
  • Test rewound equipment according to industry standards and maintain records of test outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience in rewinding both AC and DC electric motors
  • Background in winding fields, armatures, and synchronous rotor poles
  • Proficient in basic mathematical operations
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Capability to retain and apply job-related training and safety protocols
  • Experience with VPI operations
  • Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment in routine tasks
  • Familiarity with operating machinery and hoists
  • Willingness to work overtime as required
