You will be responsible for preparing instruments and equipment, maintaining aseptic technique, and assisting surgeons during procedures. Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain aseptic technique in the operating room
• Assist surgeons during procedures, including setting up instruments and equipment
• Obtain and inspect surgical instruments needed for each procedure
• Assist with moving, positioning, and transporting patients
• Handle specimens in accordance with established operating room procedures
• Perform counts of instruments, sharps, and sponges with the circulating nurse
• Remove instruments from the operating room and return them to sterile processing
• Assist in cleaning surgical equipment and the operating room for the next case

Requirements:
• Minimum two (2) years of operating room experience or completion of an accredited surgical technician training program
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
• Basic Life Support certification
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift at least 50 pounds, hear, speak, and see

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in ambulatory surgery
• Certified Surgical Technologist certification
