Role Summary: The Senior Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in the partner succession strategy within our organization.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough technical reviews of tax returns and related documents for a diverse client portfolio. Investigate tax-related issues and provide resolutions and recommendations. Stay informed about changes and advancements in tax legislation and accounting practices. Lead, coordinate, and manage client interactions to ensure timely completion of all obligations. Foster effective communication with clients to align with their best interests. Guide and support team members to achieve set objectives and budgetary goals, ensuring a positive work environment that promotes quality and high performance. Oversee the quality of deliverables and the performance of team members. Assign, monitor, and manage tasks/projects delegated to staff and supervisors. Actively engage in the development of team members and supervisors. Build and maintain a robust internal and external network to identify and cultivate new business opportunities. Manage billing processes and collections, while monitoring work in progress, aging, and write-downs. Facilitate and contribute to internal continuing professional education (CPE) and training sessions.
Qualifications: CPA Certification is required. A minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting. Proven leadership capabilities. Strong decision-making skills and the initiative to act. Ability to work effectively under pressure. Excellent organizational skills to manage a heavy workload.
