Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team at Planet Fitness - Fitton Clubs. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to members, prospective members, and guests.

Responsibilities
  • Greet members and guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and delivering top-notch customer service.
  • Answer phone calls in a friendly manner, addressing various inquiries and concerns.
  • Process membership check-ins, tours, and sign-ups, as well as manage amenities and communicate updates to members and guests.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to member questions and concerns.
  • Conduct beverage or merchandise purchases using the point-to-sale system.
  • Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership cards, address billing or payment queries, and provide excellent customer service.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and lobby, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Perform regular facility cleaning and upkeep, including mopping under equipment, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
  • Regularly clean exercise equipment and tanning beds to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Ensure restrooms and wet areas are cleaned and stocked regularly.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Ability to undergo a 7-year criminal background check (for overnight positions) and maintain satisfactory employment based on the outcome.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Upbeat, positive, and professional attitude.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
  • Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within company-mandated time frames and possess physical ability to perform CPR/AED in emergency situations.
Physical Demands and Requirements
  • Walk and stand for extended periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate weight (up to 50lbs).
  • Ability to talk continually during shifts.
  • Maintain physical ability to administer CPR in emergency situations.
  • Normal vision with or without correction.
  • Normal hearing with or without correction.
