Data Center Technician Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at Murtech Staffing and Solutions. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for performing basic rack and stack duties within the datacenter, assembling equipment, and moving it into the datacenter for immediate use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic rack and stack duties within the datacenter
  • Assemble equipment and move it into the datacenter for immediate use
  • Work with a team to ensure efficient and effective datacenter operations
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and trends in the datacenter industry

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in upgrading or repairing IT hardware components
  • Strong knowledge of cabling and networking
  • Ability to use electric screwdriver, blade for removing stickers, pliers, and side cutters
  • Customer-focused, attention to detail, and good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Great written and oral communication skills
