Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Manager to join our team at IGT. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our control room and its interactions with the lottery and vendors to ensure continuous system uptime and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the control room operates in a continuous and trouble-free manner, troubleshooting problems through supervisor, shift leads, and computer operators.
  • Coordinate the resolution of production software or hardware issues.
  • Manage and schedule computer operators, direct work, and evaluate operational performance.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as necessary.
  • Ensure performance plans, memos, and reports are distributed, understood, utilized, and made available to the computer operations team.
  • Assist in revising or establishing new systems to improve productivity and computer efficiency, developing procedures and control mechanisms to improve operations and reduce operational errors.
  • Interface daily with customers and vendors.
  • Monitor system access and security of data.
  • Monitor, track, and manage the configuration, accessing delivery process of software coding for the lottery, including games, parameters, odds, and claims.
  • Verify and analyze the accuracy and quality of hardware and software products through maintenance, attention to detail, and work environment.
  • Provide recommendations for systems needs and all external and internal factors related to control room operations.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Responsible for annual audits.
  • Oversee the scheduling software updates and patching, as well as the development of software requirements.
  • Responsible for incident and problem management.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of critical facilities equipment.
  • Maintain disaster recovery and emergency response plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Seven plus years' experience in a data center operations environment preferred.
  • Technical skills required of a senior computer operator.
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of IP protocol, LAN/WAN topology, intermediate knowledge of associated monitoring and troubleshooting tools, data center network equipment, and network cable specifications.
  • Excel and PowerPoint expertise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Must maintain a high sense of ownership, be self-motivated with initiative, and be able to effectively direct a team.
