Job Overview

Position: Manufacturing Technician
Location: Westford, MA
Pay Rate: $18-22 per hour
Shift: 12-8 PM or 3-11:30 PM
Training: 1st Shift (7 AM-3 PM or 8 AM-4 PM) for 3-4 months

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and oversee machinery, including polishing, automatic and manual indexing head coring, scribing, dicing, sawing, grinding, and chamfering.
  • Handle various sizes and thicknesses of optical filter plates, ensuring accurate setups and operations.
  • Establish the operational sequence of machines; select programs and adjust speeds, feeds, and depths as required.
  • Make machine adjustments and replace worn or damaged tooling as necessary.
  • Inspect and document process yields, ensuring shaped substrates are within process capabilities.
  • Contribute to achieving production targets in a dynamic team environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-3 years of technical manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Experience with scribing, dicing, sawing, and chamfering machines is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with measuring equipment and computer systems is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting and with mechanical equipment is highly desirable.
