Sleep Technologist II, Full-Time Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Technologist II to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a Sleep Technologist II, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of Polysomnography for both clinical and research patients. This role requires significant expertise in sleep disorder diagnosis and treatment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Gather and analyze patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs.
- Complete and verify documentation, including sleep study reports and patient records.
- Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to patients and their families.
- Perform routine and complex equipment care and maintenance, including calibration and troubleshooting.
- Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to center-specific protocols.
- Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.
- Implement appropriate interventions, including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention.
- Follow procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data.
- NYS OP License and current registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist, or NYS OP License and current registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapy competent to perform Polysomnographic Technology services.
- 5 years experience in field of Polysomnography.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
