Opto-Electronic Process Engineering Lead

Avo Photonics is a prominent provider of contract engineering services, specializing in the design, development, and production of tailored opto-electronic solutions across diverse industries.

Position: Process Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Process Engineering Team focused on various opto-mechanical assembly methodologies.
  • Direct the training and professional growth of Process Engineers to elevate their expertise.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of all manufacturing equipment.
  • Encourage research and the adoption of innovative techniques in opto-electronic packaging.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between Product Engineers and the Process Engineering Team.
  • Support the training of manufacturing staff on established processes.
  • Evaluate experiments, process advancements, and equipment control monitoring.
  • Develop and uphold Work Instructions and Quality Documentation for all procedures.
  • Assist the Product Engineering Team in crafting Travelers for Process Engineering-related tasks.
  • Revise documentation for Consumables, Epoxy, Fixtures, and Software components.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, physics, chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in electronics packaging, particularly in die bonding and wire bonding.
  • At least 6 years of experience in engineering management.
  • Proven track record in process development and control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
