We are in search of a meticulous and dedicated individual to enhance our industry reputation and contribute to our ongoing success. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing their own schedule to meet project timelines, maintaining comprehensive records, and demonstrating self-motivation and attention to detail. A professional demeanor and a strong sense of ownership over projects are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Process Engineering Team focused on core opto-mechanical assembly techniques such as die bonding, wire bonding, seam sealing, laser welding, optical alignment, and epoxy attachment.
- Oversee the training and professional development of Process Engineers to foster capability growth and cross-training among various processes.
- Ensure the maintenance and calibration of all manufacturing and development tools.
- Encourage team research and the exploration of innovative techniques in opto-electronic packaging, facilitating presentations of findings to the Product System Engineering Team.
- Bridge communication between Product Engineers and your team to ensure clarity and ownership of processes.
- Support the training and qualification of manufacturing staff on processes transitioned to production.
- Review design experiments, process development, and equipment control limit monitoring conducted by the Process Engineering Team.
- Oversee the creation and upkeep of Work Instructions and associated Quality Documents for all processes developed by the team.
- Assist the Product Engineering Team in formulating Travelers for Process Engineering-related steps and procedures.
- Update documentation for Consumables, Epoxy, Fixtures, and Software sections in the Document Control system according to the latest best practices.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, physics, chemistry, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in electronics packaging, specifically in die bonding and wire bonding.
- At least 6 years of experience in an engineering management role.
- Proven experience in creating design experiments, developing processes, and monitoring process control limits.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical personnel effectively.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
