Job Title: Integration Specialist

World Relief is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Integration Specialist to join our team in Western New York. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting newly arrived refugees and immigrants in their journey to stability and integration into U.S. society.

Job Summary:

The Integration Specialist will be responsible for conducting intakes, assessing needs and goals, referring to services, case management, and follow-up with eligible clients. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial client intake to collect demographic information, gather client documentation, assess program eligibility, and determine areas of need
  • Create and maintain client case files, including all required forms and case notes
  • Provide basic orientation to services that WRWNY offers in accordance with grant agreements; match services with individual needs and goals
  • Provide immediate assistance and follow-up for one-time needs
  • Provide referrals to community organizations for clients seeking services that WRWNY does not offer; follow-up on referrals to ensure that client was able to connect with the recommended resource
  • Assist program participants in accessing services, including public assistance, education, healthcare, and employment services as appropriate
  • Maintain regular contact with assigned cases through phone calls, office visits, and/or required home visits
  • Provide services that remove barriers, empower program participants, and realize and maintain self-sufficiency
  • Work with community partners, volunteers, interns, and World Relief staff to ensure that client's needs are met in a planned, effective, and timely manner, while honoring confidentiality
  • Maintain timely and accurate client files, case notes, and reporting records
  • Maintain internal library of community organizations and agencies in order to make timely, appropriate client referrals; conduct outreach to organizations to create partnerships as necessary
  • Attend external community meetings to build relationships with community agencies
  • Collaborate with Mobilization team to recruit and match volunteers in roles that support clients in their journey to stability and integration
  • Actively participate in department meetings, staff development opportunities, program trainings, community activities, and organizational events
Requirements:
  • Fluent in English with excellent oral and written skills; preferably bi-lingual in Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Spanish or French
  • Previous cross-cultural experience highly desired
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within necessary deadlines
  • Ability to problem-solve and multi-task
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, challenging, and fluid environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Dependable and consistent in attendance and performance
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and with diverse groups of people
  • Current driver's license, and clean driving record preferred
  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Relief's Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel, and the ability to learn new programs (previous experience with databases desired)

Work Environment:

General office setting. World Relief also offers hybrid and remote schedules for limited positions.

Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in virtual meetings may be required.

Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.
