Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Rogers Behavioral Health. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will provide therapeutic treatment services to patients and their families, assess for safety daily, and interact with patients, family members, and significant others with respect and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients and their families.
  • Assess patients for safety and intervene as needed.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary staffing and provide input on patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health topics.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
  • Experience working in a mental health setting, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic interventions and techniques for all age groups.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
