Global Markets Risk Manager

At Bank of America, we are committed to helping our clients achieve their financial goals through responsible growth. As a Global Markets Senior Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the bank's risk management practices are aligned with our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement market risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the bank's risk appetite.
- Provide oversight of market risk exposures and mitigation strategies, ensuring that they are aligned with the bank's risk management framework.
- Collaborate with business units to understand market trends and their impact on the bank's portfolio, using stress testing and other analytical tools to inform risk management decisions.
- Ensure adherence to the bank's policies and procedures, and evaluate new transactions to ensure they are consistent with the bank's risk management framework.
- Develop and maintain relationships with senior leadership in risk and business to ensure alignment on strategic direction and risk management priorities.
- 10+ years of market risk or front office experience, with a strong understanding of key risk metrics such as VaR and stress testing.
- Good understanding of real estate and credit markets, with experience working in a similar role.
- Proven finance or risk background, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, while maintaining independence and objectivity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a similar role at a major financial institution.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks.
- Experience with risk management software and systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
