Audio-Visual Systems Specialist

KaylaTek is seeking a highly skilled Audio-Visual Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining complex AV systems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement AV systems that meet the needs of our clients, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Install and configure AV equipment, including flat-panel displays, control systems, and audio equipment.
- Fabricate and test cable and equipment racks and cabinets.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system installations and provide field support as needed.
- TS/SCI security clearance required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in AV systems implementation.
- Ability to read and understand project drawings and schematics, engineering notes, and operation manuals.
- Experience with the installation of AV systems and equipment, including flat-panel displays, control systems, and audio equipment.
- Ability to fabricate cable and test equipment racks and cabinets.
- Effective communication skills and ability to handle pressure-sensitive situations.
- Ability to properly and safely use/operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic test equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and without direct supervision.
- Good interpersonal and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and handle deadlines and tight timelines.
- Ability to perform installations and/or fixes where working on a ladder or under floors in crawl spaces may be required.
- Able to lift and carry items for periods of time that may exceed 50+ lbs.
- Certifications such as Info Comm Avixa CTS, Crestron, Extron, Polycom, or Biamp are desired but not required.
