Senior IT LIMS Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT LIMS Technical Lead to join our team at PepsiCo. As a key member of our Global IT DEVSECOPS team, you will play a critical role in supporting our R&D Labs around the world.
Key Responsibilities- Configure, design, develop, and test Labvantage System configuration, working closely with our IT Solution Architect.
- Gather requirements, analyze, and document specifications, configuring them for continuous improvement, unit testing, and supporting and maintaining the LIMS for the Labs.
- Conduct customer workshops for information gathering and develop prototypes for business review.
- Triage and troubleshoot incidents/issues with LIMS and follow through to resolution.
- Oversee and implement all upgrades and modifications to the LIMS, working with the IT team, vendor, and Scrum team.
- Participate in technical reviews and project meetings, develop systems in accordance with PepsiCo standards, and review functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and test scripts.
- Demonstrate functional knowledge and help prepare end-to-end workflows, provide technical feedback and guidance on data output options, and recommend technical changes.
- Work closely with the IT Solution Architect to ensure delivery aligns with business goals and PepsiCo security policies and architecture standards.
- Translate business needs and user stories into functional and non-functional requirements for the LIMS, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Update documentation or produce documentation for internal and external use, write periodic status progress reports, and meet with the Product Manager and Scrum Master to plan implementation of new functionality.
- Work closely with various stakeholders for successful completion of day-to-day LIMS tasks and ongoing support projects.
- Maintain LIMS knowledge, including staying current on LIMS software capabilities and updates from the software vendor.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication, scientific discipline, or equivalent experience) with 4+ years of experience or Master's degree.
- Practical experience working in complex institutions, Spanish/Portuguese language skills, and experience in R&D and LIMS are a plus.
- Safe Agile certification, experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Azure knowledge, and project methods and tools experience are a plus.
- Minimum of +3 years of programming experience using Java, knowledge of Java development methodologies and database, and experience developing formal technical specifications and configuring LIMS software and related tools.
