Job Summary

The Senior Production Manager will oversee all daily operations from assembly and fabrication to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. This role is responsible for developing people and processes that will maximize safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee facility operations to ensure the safety of our team members at designated facility.
  • Implement a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources.
  • Develop direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, applying progressive disciplinary action as appropriate, and conducting formal written and verbal performance reviews.
  • Monitor daily work operations of facility/organizational unit/designated scope/etc. and provide direction and guidance to lower-level supervisors, experienced exempt employees, or skilled nonexempt staff to achieve unit or project goals.
  • Interact with internal customers by meeting regularly, responding to requests, and explaining procedures.
  • Execute policies that affect processes and personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
  • Influence business decisions by recommendation and development of operational policies and procedures that affect personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. FDA, BSI, EEO regulations etc.).
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of area/organizational unit budget through regular analysis of cost and spending.
  • In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
  • Establish and promote a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of people leadership experience.
  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Track record of success.
  • Proven managerial experience.
  • Familiarity with the core capabilities of a manufacturing site.
Work Environment

The employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
