About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Dollar General. As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of our company, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Operate cash registers and scanners to accurately process customer transactions, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Stock and merchandise products on shelves, including unpacking, stocking, and rotating merchandise to ensure a visually appealing store environment.
  • Clean and maintain the store, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting, as well as taking out trash and recycling.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, including unloading trucks and moving merchandise to the sales floor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash and credit transactions.
