About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at RemX - Healthcare Solutions in Martinsville, VA. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care in a clinical setting.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  2. Obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  3. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and providing necessary instructions.
  4. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  5. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling medical billing.
  6. Assist with drawing blood samples and vaccinations
  7. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
  8. Support emergency medicine protocols as needed in high-pressure situations.
  9. Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in emergency medicine or medical-surgical environments.
  • Ability to provide excellent patient service with empathy and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with inpatient care processes is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with performing blood draws and vaccinations
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required.
