Regional Operations Manager Position Overview

This role serves as a pivotal leader in managing restaurant operations alongside unit General Managers. The objective is to establish goals and benchmarks to meet operational standards and achieve sales and profit targets across 5-7 locations within a designated market area. The position requires collaboration with the Market Manager to enhance sales, market presence, and profitability. A commitment to embodying Baskin Robbins values and leadership principles is essential for fostering strong business relationships with key stakeholders, including General Managers, suppliers, customers, and corporate staff.

Key Accountabilities:

Team Development

+ Advocates for personnel policies and values by actively demonstrating and reinforcing key drivers to secure commitment from Restaurant Management and Team Members.

+ Sets individual performance objectives for Restaurant Management and other direct reports, ensuring adherence to performance planning and evaluation processes.

+ Leads initiatives related to performance management systems within Baskin Robbins.

+ Mentors and sponsors high-potential team members, focusing on fulfilling staffing needs and diversity goals.

+ Participates in succession planning and performance calibration processes.

+ Ensures compliance with people practices, including quality hiring, targeted selection, commitment surveys, and adherence to HR policies and labor laws.

Business Performance

+ Collaborates with the Market Manager and financial teams to formulate the annual business strategy for the market, establishing Profit Center targets.

+ Responsible for meeting all outlined business plan objectives, including sales growth and income enhancement.

+ Utilizes available data resources to identify opportunities and challenges in achieving business results, adjusting strategies as necessary.

+ Accountable for fostering a positive work environment that drives business outcomes, such as increased customer traffic, sales, and profitability.

+ Provides insights and reviews with the Market Manager regarding annual reinvestment strategies, including restaurant openings, remodels, and equipment acquisitions.

+ Oversees the General and Administrative expenses of the restaurants.

+ Ensures adherence to all employment regulations and company policies.

Operational Excellence

+ Maintains a strong focus on delivering Quality, Service, and Cleanliness across all locations.

+ Gathers and evaluates business data related to sales, staffing, revenue, customer service, and expenditures.

+ Develops solutions to operational challenges and inefficiencies.

+ Assists in crafting strategies and programs aimed at resolving organizational inefficiencies and maximizing returns.

+ Demonstrates exceptional customer service by consistently monitoring restaurant operations, addressing management issues, and recognizing achievements.

+ Supports and develops General Managers to guide restaurant teams in executing systems that ensure high operational standards.

+ Conducts operational assessments to identify trends and opportunities, collaborating with restaurant teams to formulate and implement improvement plans.

+ Establishes processes and guidelines for General Managers to ensure effective execution of local marketing initiatives, promotions, and new product launches.
