Job Summary:
Service is the foundation of everything we stand for at Vail Resorts and our Kitchen Managers are no exception to this experience of a lifetime. Kitchen Managers are visionary managers responsible for kitchen operations, promoting teamwork amongst staff, maintaining performance goals and guaranteeing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Job Specifications:
- Outlet: The Cliff House
- Expected Pay Range: $25-$27.94 or salaried equivalent
- Shift & Schedule Availability: 11 month
- Skill Level: Advanced
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning, development, and production of menu items
- Oversee the culinary team including hiring, training and developing teammates, managing performance including reviews, and succession planning
- Maintain standards for facility and food preparation, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Assist in budget process and forecasting for business, maintaining financial oversight of operational cost to budget
- Oversee ordering/receiving, cost transfers, variance reports and inventory control of all food, beverages, and supplies purchased
- Oversee BOH scheduling and labor controls to include weekly BOH payroll processing
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelors or Culinary degree preferred
- ServSafe certification or regional equivalent required
- 3-5 years of restaurant experience, 3+ years of supervisory experience required
- Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout a shift, lift and/or carry up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English
- Skiing or snowboarding is not a requirement for this job
The expected pay range is $25 - $27.94. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
