Job Summary

The Assembler III will play a critical role in the manufacture of assemblies/sub-assemblies, responsible for assembling various components to deliver final products. This role requires a high level of job knowledge and skills, including troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead assembly team members by overseeing assembly lines
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components, utilizing all electrical and hydraulic diagrams to perform repairs
  • Cross-train assembly team members to perform assemblies at multiple sub-stations
  • Responsible for efficient operations and assembly tasks at different workstations
  • Position and fasten subassemblies through torquing, assembling components such as wires, hoses, instrument panels, doors, handles, and underbodies
  • Route all harnesses through the facility
  • Use manipulators and tools with standard work instructions
  • Complete function testing and support validation checks
  • Serve as the first line of defense by observing components through ongoing quality checks
  • Assist in driving back defects to the point of origin, identifying and implementing corrective actions
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 5S standards
Requirements
  • At least 3+ years' experience in automotive manufacturing
  • Previous assembly experience
  • Advanced computer, math, and reading skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment and processes
  • Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or certification program in an equivalent field
  • Four years' experience as an assembler (preferably in the automotive industry)
  • Previous leadership experience
