Job Summary

The Assembler II will be responsible for assembling various components in the manufacture of assemblies/sub-assemblies to deliver final products. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, efficiency, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble various components, including wires, hoses, instrument panels, doors, handles, and underbodies, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Position and fasten subassemblies through torquing, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
  • Route all harnesses through the facility, maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
  • Use manipulators and tools with standard work instructions, adhering to safety procedures and protocols.
  • Complete function testing and support validation checks, ensuring products meet quality standards.
  • Serve as the first line of defense by observing components through ongoing quality checks, identifying defects, and assisting in implementing corrective actions.
  • Assist in driving back defects to the point of origin, working collaboratively with the team to resolve issues.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety procedures, rules, and proper 5S standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in automotive manufacturing or a related field.
  • Previous assembly experience, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
  • Fundamental computer, math, and reading skills, with the ability to follow established methods and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment and processes, with excellent communication skills.
  • Team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic, able to work collaboratively with leadership and fellow team members.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or certification program in an equivalent field.
  • Three years' experience as an assembler, preferably in the automotive industry.
