We are seeking a talented Freight Transportation Specialist to join our team at Compu-Vision Consulting. As a Freight Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the movement of freight from origin to destination and ensuring timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Freight Movement Management: Manage the movement of freight from origin to destination and ensure timely delivery.
  • Carrier Sourcing and Qualification: Identify and qualify carriers, negotiate rates, and secure capacity for shipments.
  • Shipper and Carrier Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to ensure repeat business and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Rate Negotiation and Pricing Strategy: Negotiate rates with carriers and ensure competitive pricing for shippers.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare shipping documents, contracts, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Problem Resolution and Issue Resolution: Address and resolve issues related to transportation delays, freight damage, and other logistics challenges.
  • Shipment Tracking and Reporting: Monitor shipment progress, provide updates to clients, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Market Analysis and Industry Insights: Keep abreast of market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape to provide strategic insights.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Communication and Interpersonal Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Transportation Management Software Proficiency: Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Multitasking and Time Management: Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
    • Attention to Detail and Regulatory Compliance: Strong attention to detail and knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.

Schedule and Salary:

  • Full-time Work: Full-time work from office, may require some evenings or weekends depending on shipment schedules and client needs.
  • Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
