Job Title: Senior Product Manager-Technical Products

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Manager to join our team at Amazon Services LLC. As a key member of our product management team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative products that meet the needs of our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical product management, with experience in delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment. You will be responsible for working closely with engineering teams, design, and program management in an agile environment to deliver products to market.

You will also be responsible for managing prioritization and tradeoffs between customer experience, performance, and operational support. Additionally, you will drive product launches, including working with public relations team, executives, finance, marketing, and legal stakeholders for your product.

We are looking for a strong leader who can prioritize well, and who understands how to drive focus and excellence within a strong, talented team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed and crisp business requirements for product specifications and service architecture
  • Engage with AWS customers, sales, and business development teams to understand customer feedback and crisply understand their pain points
  • Work closely with engineering teams, design, and program management in an agile environment to deliver products to market
  • Manage prioritization and tradeoffs between customer experience, performance, and operational support
  • Drive product launches, including working with public relations team, executives, finance, marketing, and legal stakeholders for your product
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
  • Define high-quality roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
  • Interface and partner with all levels of the AWS and Amazon business leadership
Requirements:
  • BS degree in computer science or electrical engineering
  • 10+ years of technical product management with internet business experience
  • Experience delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift fast
  • Strong track record of delivering compelling products
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences
  • Strong leadership skills, with ability to prioritize well and drive focus and excellence within a strong, talented team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA and a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (or the equivalent), or professional work experience as a hardware engineer
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Great analytic and problem-solving skills

The base pay for this position ranges from $137,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $236,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
