The specialist will also support training initiatives aimed at enhancing understanding of Substance Use Disorders.

Position Details: This is a Full-Time role, requiring 40 hours of commitment each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with assigned clinicians to organize and schedule brief interventions for individuals seeking treatment.
  • Guide and support individuals in their personal action plans or wellness strategies, regularly reviewing their goals and progress.
  • Act as a liaison with families and other professionals involved in the care of the individuals served, including probation officers and therapists.
  • Ensure that program and individual records are maintained accurately and comply with agency and funding standards.
  • Facilitate group sessions and enhance peer-driven educational offerings.
  • Provide on-call support for program participants, addressing routine inquiries and assisting with system navigation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a field outside of behavioral health sciences, or a high school diploma/GED is required.
  • Experience: Previous work experience with adults facing substance use challenges is essential. Familiarity with addiction treatment services and recovery coaching is preferred.
  • Skills: Certification as a Certified Addictions Recovery Coach (CARC) is advantageous. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
