ROLE SUMMARY:

The Market Intelligence and Analytics Manager is tasked with the continuous monitoring, analysis, comprehension, and summarization of energy market dynamics, considering regulatory, policy, legislative, technical, financial, emerging technologies, and competitive factors. This information is crucial for refining and enhancing the strategy and planning for project development at OCI Energy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform ongoing, in-depth surveillance of energy market dynamics to ensure OCI Energy remains informed of emerging trends and shifts within the industry.
  • Analyze market data thoroughly to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, ensuring this information informs company strategy and operations.
  • Stay updated on changes in the regulatory landscape, interpreting their potential impacts on the energy sector and OCI Energy's strategic positioning.
  • Understand new legislative actions affecting the renewable energy market, communicate their implications, and propose potential actions.
  • Incorporate technical insights into strategic decisions, ensuring technical perspectives are represented in planning discussions.
  • Analyze the financial aspects of the energy market, considering factors such as tariffs, subsidies, and market incentives, predicting their influence on future projects.
  • Evaluate the competitive landscape, identifying key players, analyzing their strategies, and recognizing potential opportunities or threats for OCI Energy.
  • Provide actionable insights from rigorous analysis to shape and evolve the company's market strategy in a dynamic environment.
  • Support project development planning with analytical insights, ensuring alignment with current market trends and future energy sector landscapes.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and presentations that detail market intelligence findings and their implications for the company, suggesting strategic initiatives.
  • Engage with industry stakeholders through conferences, meetings, and forums to gain market insights and position OCI Energy as a leader in industry discussions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure a cohesive approach to market analysis and strategy formulation.
  • Commit to continuous learning by exploring emerging tools, methodologies, and best practices in market intelligence and analytics.
  • Identify potential market risks through thorough assessments and provide well-researched recommendations for effective navigation and mitigation.
  • Conduct specialized research on topics to support informed decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Science, or a related field; a Master's degree in Business Administration or Market Analysis is a significant advantage.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in market intelligence, analytics, or a related role, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently on projects and key deliverables.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to effectively communicate conclusions and recommendations.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory and legislative environment related to renewable energy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of producing detailed reports and presenting findings to senior leadership.
  • Ability to think strategically and connect market insights to actionable business strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative environment.
