Position Overview

As a Cook in the Banquet Kitchen, you will support the Chef and supervisors in the high-volume production, fabrication, and preparation of food items for various banquet events. You will be responsible for upholding cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, adhering to health regulations and requirements. Your role will also involve maintaining a supportive leadership presence to ensure the kitchen staff meets production goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibilities of Kitchen Department heads in their absence.
  • Engage in daily communication with the Chef on Duty regarding job assignments.
  • Prepare and fabricate food products for the Dining Room, Fine Dining Room, cafeteria, and banquets.
  • Ensure a high standard of sanitation and safety within the kitchen area.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of kitchen equipment and their proper usage for cleaning and breakdown.
  • Label all prepared food items prior to storage.
  • Utilize all trimmings and excess portions of food items effectively.
  • Assist the Chef on Duty with banquet and conference dining services.
  • Adhere to the Resort's policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and report any violations to Human Resources.
  • Maintain excellent employee and guest relations.
  • Foster positive working relationships with all departments.
Qualifications:
  • Current Food Handler's certification.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Capability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • A commitment to exceeding expectations.
