Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team at Soliant. The successful candidate will provide high-quality speech and language services to students, working in collaboration with educators and parents to enhance student learning and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Develop and implement tailored IEPs to meet each student's unique needs.
  • Direct Therapy: Provide speech, language, and communication therapy to students with disorders.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Work with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and success.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of student assessments, progress, and therapy sessions.
  • Professional Development: Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
  • Consultation and Training: Offer consultation and training to school staff and parents regarding speech and language development and intervention strategies.
Qualifications
  • Masters Degree: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • State License: Valid Pennsylvania state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification: Pennsylvania Department of Education certification as an Educational Specialist Speech and Language Pathologist.
  • Experience: Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Required Licensure and Certifications
  • Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
  • Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification as an Educational Specialist Speech and Language Pathologist
  • Passing Scores on Relevant Praxis Exams
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting, Bending, and Standing: Ability to perform job duties that may include lifting, bending, sitting, and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to manage the physical demands of working with young children and students with special needs.
