About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Construction Financial Specialist to become a vital part of our organization. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong passion for the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be tasked with a variety of financial responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Managing all financial elements of construction projects, from initial budgeting through to final cost analysis.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements, pinpointing any discrepancies or areas that require improvement.
  • Overseeing accounts receivable (A/R) to ensure prompt and accurate payments from clients.
  • Conducting 3-way match processes to verify consistency among invoices, purchase orders, and received quantities.
  • Working closely with project managers, general contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain financial transparency and accountability.
  • Utilizing Sage 300 or similar accounting software to manage financial data and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Offering financial insights and guidance to management, supporting strategic decision-making and business growth.

Qualifications:
To qualify for the Construction Financial Specialist position, candidates should possess the following:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction accounting, ideally with a general contractor.
  • Demonstrated experience with accounts receivable, 3-way matching, and cost reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in Sage 300 or equivalent construction accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
  • A high level of professional integrity, with the capacity to manage sensitive financial information confidentially.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in construction accounting.
