Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mortgage Processor to join our team at Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage processing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and organize residential loan files to ensure timely and quality customer service
  • Review and document file accuracy and completeness, then submit to underwriting team
  • Provide timely underwriting submissions with department personnel and external service providers as appropriate
  • Communicate effectively with customers and sales team to obtain necessary documentation
  • Prepare, maintain, coordinate, and distribute residential loan files, regulatory disclosures, and/or verification forms as appropriate
  • Review pipelines for regulatory monitoring and notifications; track for file completeness
  • Assist with obtaining references for builder approval process and other assignments as needed
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3 years of experience in a business-related field preferred
  • Encompass experience preferred
  • Current NMLS registration or can complete NMLS registration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as banking-related software
  • Quality communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, attorneys, co-workers, and management
  • Strong mathematical and organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines
  • Thorough knowledge of mortgage products and services as well as basic knowledge of current lending regulations
