Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our finance team. This full-time position offers a hybrid work model, requiring office attendance on designated days. Candidates must reside within the operational regions.

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Senior Financial Accountant will deliver exceptional support to stakeholders requiring financial insights for informed decision-making. As a key member of the Financial Services Team, you will oversee fiscal management for various program leaders, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and undertaking additional projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a team-oriented environment, striving towards shared strategic objectives.
  • Apply accounting principles to accurately record financial transactions and generate reports, adhering to all relevant standards.
  • Design and implement internal control measures to ensure accurate transaction recording.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of accounting software and financial reporting structures.
  • Manage daily banking activities and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Prepare and file necessary tax documentation accurately and punctually.
  • Conduct complex account reconciliations independently.
  • Generate monthly invoices and manage timely payment collections.
  • Compile financial data and analyses using various software tools.
  • Assist in the preparation for annual audits, including necessary documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support budget preparation and financial planning as required.
  • Foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing financial insights and support.
  • Stay informed about industry changes and participate in employee training initiatives.
  • Act as a resource for finance team members and facilitate project assignments.
  • Uphold high ethical standards in financial reporting and communication.
