We are seeking a highly skilled Civil, Environmental or Coastal Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning, analyzing, and managing waterfront development projects, including marinas, shoreline protection, and dredging.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake the planning, analysis, permitting, design, and inspection of waterfront development projects.
- Generate and recognize cost-effective and constructible technical solutions to engineering challenges.
- Write feasibility studies, technical reports, and construction specifications.
- Manage the production of engineering plans and drawings.
- Perform engineering calculations and critical reviews of technical reports.
- Inspect and supervise onsite works during construction phases of marinas and waterfront development projects.
- Manage and control project budgets, programs, resources, and quality of production.
- Attend and conduct meetings with clients and regulatory authorities.
- Develop proposals in response to RFPs, including build-up of project budgets, programs, and scopes of work.
- Interface and communicate with clients and prospective clients.
- Bachelor's degree in coastal/ocean engineering, civil engineering, coastal science, or closely related field (required).
- Master's degree in engineering, business, or related field (preferred).
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, Professional Engineer (PE) (preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience (7+ years preferred) in the engineering field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
- Outstanding communication skills, with a specific focus on business/technical writing.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (Civil 3D)/GIS.
- General knowledge of surveying and surveying principles (preferred).
- Regular fieldwork and overnight travel (required).
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
- Valid U.S. drivers license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
- Valid passport (or eligibility obtain) and ability/willingness to travel internationally to support waterfront project work (preferred).
- Boating experience (preferred).
