Key Responsibilities:
As a Transmission Line Superintendent, you will oversee field operations for designated projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably. Your role will involve:
- Planning, organizing, and supervising construction activities within your assigned area.
- Managing construction schedules for T&D related tasks performed by subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Maintaining project continuity and maximizing operational efficiencies.
- Overseeing high voltage transmission line construction, including steel and wood structures, drilled piers, and environmental compliance.
- Ensuring safety and productivity across all crafts and managing materials and equipment effectively.
- Building strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, facilitating communication with various stakeholders.
- Collaborating with project management to establish and implement project procedures and standards.
- Authorizing purchase requisitions and design change requests under the guidance of the Construction Manager.
- Conducting regular safety audits and reviews of site-specific safety documentation.
- Documenting daily construction progress through reports and photographs.
- Assessing upcoming work activities and addressing any potential concerns.
- Coordinating with QA/QC to ensure compliance with welding qualifications and project specifications.
- Managing project site material and tool logistics.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree with 7 years of construction management or craft supervision experience in T&D projects, or
- An Associate degree with 9 years of relevant experience, or
- A High School Diploma/GED with 11 years of applicable experience.
Strong safety awareness and proficiency in Microsoft Suite are essential.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $60-$65 per hour + Per Diem
