Reliability Engineer

At Lactalis American Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Engineering & Reliability Specialist to join our team in Walton, NY. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate between projects, suppliers, manufacturing, and the business to ensure reliability standards are followed during daily plant operations and capital projects.
- Develop and implement Predictive Maintenance Routes to reduce equipment Mean Time Between Failure.
- Partner with Corporate Engineering to prepare supplier selection bid packages, manage the supplier selection process, and ensure internal capital approval request procedures are followed.
- Manage changes using documented change orders and ensure good quality planning, risk analysis, budget, resource identification, and layout studies are complete and accurate.
- Utilize project management methodologies to ensure project success, including frequent project meetings, communication within the company, and involvement of plant resources from early phases.
- Ensure that milestones are respected throughout the project, including provisional acceptance, I/O check-out, equipment site acceptance test, electrical test, water test, commissioning, and final acceptance.
- Lead proactive problem-solving efforts for manufacturing processes and troubleshoot and resolve process equipment issues.
- Conduct plant floor walk-throughs and participate in Continuous Improvement teams to identify and implement process improvements.
Requirements:
- Ability to understand the intricacies of rotating equipment and their subsystems.
- Experience and knowledge to diagnose equipment problems through vibration data analysis and develop means to rectify those problems.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
