Vaco is seeking a skilled Road Construction Estimator to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining existing business relationships, creating new opportunities, and managing projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct site visits, takeoffs, and estimate projects to ensure accurate pricing and timelines.
  • Collaborate with field superintendents to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Assist with contract administration, billing, and receivables to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in road construction estimating, with a strong understanding of INDOT specifications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project, as well as digitizing takeoff software.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
