**Job Summary**
Porter Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medical Technician II to join our team. As an EMT II, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services to patients in a variety of settings.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide scheduled and unscheduled transports to patients in stable or unstable conditions to appropriate destinations.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support care to patients.
- Transport and transfer patients to definitive or continued care facilities.
- Conduct thorough patient examinations and obtain pertinent information and history.
- Administer proper care and interventions within the scope of the provider.
- Utilize medical equipment and supplies to provide quality care to patients.
- Communicate with various entities to ensure proper care and mitigation of each call to service.
**Requirements:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Indiana State EMT certification or equivalent.
- BLS certification.
- NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 certification within 6 months of hire.
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Emergency Vehicle Driving Training (CEVO or EVOC or equivalent).
- 1 year of experience in pre-hospital care.
