Key Responsibilities
  • Map Generation and Update: Utilize ESRI's ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online platforms to create and update a variety of maps.
  • Environmental Data Collection: Collect and manage environmental data from multiple resources.
  • Data Capture and Management: Capture relevant data from multiple resources and utilize GPS for data collection.
  • Shapefile and Geodatabase Management: Generate, update, and manage various shapefiles and geodatabases.
  • File Conversion and Import/Export: Convert, import, and export various file structures into GIS format.
Requirements
  • Education: B.S. degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental, GeoEnvironmental, or related field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS 10.x Desktop and ArcGIS Pro 3.x software, working knowledge of ArcGIS Online, and ability to generate SDSFIE compliant metadata.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge, interest, and project experience in GIS applications, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a general office environment and will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle tools and controls, operate vehicles and equipment, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, see, talk, and hear.

Compensation and Benefits

The position pays $45,000 - $50,000 annually and offers a competitive benefits package.
