At SMRT, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our electrical engineering group, you'll play a crucial role in designing and delivering innovative electrical solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the electrical design of projects from conceptual phase to completion, ensuring compliance with project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and other engineering disciplines, to develop comprehensive project solutions.
- Develop and implement power distribution plans, one-lines, equipment layouts, and HVAC electrical requirements.
- Prepare detailed designs for healthcare, science, technology, manufacturing, educational, and corrections projects.
- Conduct design calculations for power, lighting, generator sizing, and coordination with other support discipline activities.
- Edit and apply specifications in CSI format for individual project needs.
- Apply codes, standards, guidelines, and ordinances to projects.
- Coordinate with personnel across multiple regional offices.
- Assist the Electrical Discipline Leader in managing and mentoring teams, coordinating schedules, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring delivery of quality work products.
- Minimum 10 years of technical experience in electrical design of buildings and infrastructure.
- Minimum 1 year of experience leading teams/projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Flexible work environment.
