Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our construction process, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating full estimating packages for construction projects, including the calculation of material quantities and labor costs.

- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects or services.
- Conduct risk analysis, identifying potential issues, and providing possible solutions.
- Participate in the proposal presentation to clients, offering insight on cost, feasibility, and duration of the project.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to formulate accurate and competitive estimates.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimations, tracking changes in design, updated drawings, and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Provide regular reports and updates to management on the status of current and upcoming projects.
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that all aspects of the project are covered in the contract terms.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within the commercial construction industry.
- Proven experience with Estimator or equivalent software.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and accurately.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional certification, such as a Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), is a plus.
