Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional Part-Time to join our team at Person First LA. As a key member of our care team, you will provide essential support and care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Transport residents to medical and social appointments, promoting their independence and social interaction.
  • Provide personal care and supervision, ensuring all basic needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and medication management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment, adhering to facility policies and regulations.
  • Participate in in-service training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Encourage and support residents in their daily activities, promoting their autonomy and dignity.
  • Perform food service duties, including meal preparation, serving, and clean-up.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being of our residents, fostering a positive and supportive community.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of caregiving experience, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • DSP I certification required; DSP II certification preferred.
  • Ability to work a part-time schedule, including weekends and holidays.
