Position Summary:

The Wellness Coordinator plays a vital role within the Employee Housing team, executing the Wellness Strategy in collaboration with the Wellness Manager and Supervisor. The primary mission of the Wellness Team is to enhance the living experience for housing staff and residents, fostering a sense of community and support. The Wellness Coordinator serves as a resource, mentor, and advocate, empowering residents to thrive in their housing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support the wellness strategy within employee housing to ensure ongoing success.
  • Deliver standardized wellness initiatives aligned with the Employee Housing Programming Model, focusing on the Eight Dimensions of Wellness and the core values of the organization.
  • Enhance the living experience for residents and staff through community-building activities that promote the seasonal Employee Value Proposition.
  • Organize, facilitate, document, and assess social, recreational, and educational events for Employee Housing.
  • Assist residents in navigating transitions and provide resources related to mental and physical wellness.
  • Mediate conflicts and foster a respectful living environment.
  • Manage and respond promptly to resident inquiries submitted through the designated platform.
  • Track and manage resident support cases, including roommate conflicts and wellness resources.
  • Communicate and enforce community safety protocols, and support emergency response services.
  • Collaborate with other housing teams as needed.
  • Contribute to the monthly Employee Housing newsletter as requested.
  • Engage with residents to build relationships and maintain visibility within the community.
  • Work with internal and external partners to address employee concerns and de-escalate situations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community resources and mental health services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Proven customer service skills with effective communication abilities.
  • Experience working with high-risk populations is preferred.
  • Background in mediation and conflict resolution is advantageous.
  • Experience in mental health support is beneficial.
  • Event planning and execution experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory; proficiency in Spanish or French is a plus.
