Position Title: Lead Security Operations Specialist

Location: Massachusetts

Job Overview: Torch Technologies is seeking a dedicated Lead Security Operations Specialist to join our team, providing essential support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. This role is pivotal in ensuring the security and integrity of operations within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer expert guidance and security assistance across various collateral programs, including Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain effective collaborations with Information Protection leads, program managers, and contracting officers to ensure comprehensive security integration throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the formulation and documentation of Operations Security (OPSEC) plans, emergency action plans, and other critical security documents.
  • Review program materials for public dissemination, ensuring compliance with classification and distribution protocols.
  • Provide classification support and guidance for collateral and SCI programs as necessary.
  • Manage Security Operating Procedures (SOP) and related acquisition/security documentation.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of classified correspondence and materials.
  • Ensure personnel security clearances are current and verify access prior to granting entry to classified information.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of Visitor Access Requests (VAR) to ensure accuracy and eligibility.
  • Conduct inspections and enforce anti-terrorism measures as directed.
  • Support security awareness initiatives, including the development of educational materials and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Clearance: Required to maintain a Secret Level Clearance and be eligible for TS/SCI.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: A minimum of ten years of relevant experience, with at least five years in the Department of Defense.
  • Certifications: SFPC or equivalent experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of counterintelligence threats and security policies.
  • Proficient in security manuals and DoD directives.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and interact with diverse personnel.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules in response to mission needs.
  • Completion of all required security training in accordance with DoD and Air Force regulations.
