Key Responsibilities:
- Install new AV equipment including projectors, speakers, AV cabling, and displays.
- Program basic AV control systems and audio DSP (digital signal processor).
- Conduct routine maintenance and updates to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of audio-video systems.
- Promptly diagnose and resolve audio and video related issues in classroom and conferencing spaces.
- Provide audio video technical support for faculty, students, and staff during classes, presentations, and live events.
- Assist with training of end-users for proper use of audio and video equipment and technology.
- Make recommendations for upgrades and improvements based on industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree & 2 years of experience in audio-video system installation and integration OR Associate's & 4 years of experience in audio-video system installation and integration required.
- Proficient in the installation of audio-video equipment, including but not limited to, projectors, sound systems, microphones, cameras, control systems and video conferencing systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with the use of Crestron control software and Extron control software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in a related AV technology field preferred.
- Familiarity with the use of the following software: Biamp DSP software, QSC DSP software, Microsoft Visio, Mac operating systems, and/or Windows operating systems.
- The following industry certifications are a plus: AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), Extron ECP (Extron Control Professional) or Dante Level 1.
