Key Responsibilities:

  • Install new AV equipment including projectors, speakers, AV cabling, and displays.
  • Program basic AV control systems and audio DSP (digital signal processor).
  • Conduct routine maintenance and updates to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of audio-video systems.
  • Promptly diagnose and resolve audio and video related issues in classroom and conferencing spaces.
  • Provide audio video technical support for faculty, students, and staff during classes, presentations, and live events.
  • Assist with training of end-users for proper use of audio and video equipment and technology.
  • Make recommendations for upgrades and improvements based on industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree & 2 years of experience in audio-video system installation and integration OR Associate's & 4 years of experience in audio-video system installation and integration required.
  • Proficient in the installation of audio-video equipment, including but not limited to, projectors, sound systems, microphones, cameras, control systems and video conferencing systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with the use of Crestron control software and Extron control software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in a related AV technology field preferred.
  • Familiarity with the use of the following software: Biamp DSP software, QSC DSP software, Microsoft Visio, Mac operating systems, and/or Windows operating systems.
  • The following industry certifications are a plus: AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), Extron ECP (Extron Control Professional) or Dante Level 1.
