Key Responsibilities
  • Recommend and configure Workday HCM and Talent Management solutions to align with business requirements and drive process improvements.
  • Proactively anticipate and plan for Workday HCM and Talent Management module enhancements based on a deep understanding of our organization's strategic initiatives and industry best practices.
  • Stay actively engaged with the Workday community, attending events, webinars, and training to stay ahead of emerging trends and share knowledge with business stakeholders.
  • Leverage expertise to design and implement innovative, creative solutions to complex HCM-related challenges.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, plus 3+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Comprehensive Workday HCM product knowledge and experience with Business Process Configuration, Calculated Fields, Basic reporting, and Calculation Engine.
  • Ability to work independently on complex or strategic assignments and identify solutions in HCM that impact other Workday functionality.
  • Agile experience using Scrum and/or Kanban methodology with Jira and exceptional critical thinking skills and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to estimate length of time needed to complete work and collaborate effectively and efficiently with system stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external teams and stakeholders and facilitate detailed discussions and give presentations about Workday functionality.
Preferred Experience
  • 5-6 years of Workday experience and advanced knowledge of Talent Management Workday module and HCM.
  • Workday Pro Certification and experience with reporting tools and analyzing data.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $68,115.00 to $115,100.00, including all possible grades. Penn State University offers a comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, and competitive retirement plans, 75% tuition discounts, generous vacation time and sick time, and 14 paid holidays.
