We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our team at Career Placement Group, Inc. in Northeast Georgia. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating a printing press, ensuring high-quality output, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Printing Press: Safely and efficiently operate a printing press, color matching, and troubleshoot press-related problems to maintain the machine.
  • Quality Control: Examine, measure, and weigh materials or products to verify conformance to standards, using measuring devices such as templates, micrometers, or scales.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Clean dies, arbors, compression chambers, and molds, using swabs, sponges, or air hoses. Clear jams, and remove defective or substandard materials or products.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve production goals and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Monitor machine operations and observe lights and gauges in order to detect malfunctions and adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, and temperatures.
  • Materials Handling: Move materials, supplies, components, and finished products between storage and work areas, using work aids such as racks, hoists, and hand trucks.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and ability to read blueprints. Knowledge of printing, print production, press operation, and related processes.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a printing or manufacturing environment preferred.
