Job Title: Commercial Construction Estimator

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

As a Commercial Construction Estimator at FTS, Inc., you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our projects by providing accurate cost estimates and taking ownership of the budgeting process from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

* Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.

* Analyze project scope and requirements to determine materials, labor, and time needed.

* Solicit quotes and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to get the best prices.

* Prepare and maintain detailed estimates and bid proposals.

* Identify potential risks and areas of concern in project scopes, proposing solutions as needed.

* Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment on costs and timelines.

* Assist with contract negotiations and value engineering efforts.

* Keep up to date with industry trends, construction materials, and market conditions to provide the most accurate pricing.

* Track and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals.

* Provide support during the post-bid phase, including project handoff and cost tracking.

Requirements:

* Experience:

* 3+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating.

* Experience with estimating software.

* Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.

* Certifications such as Estimating Professional (CEP) or similar a plus.

* Skills:

* Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, including materials, labor costs, and scheduling.
